Clarivate’s ‘Drugs to Watch’ programme is a hotly tipped forecast of the drugs coming onto the market in the coming year. It pools millions of data points to reach a small group of drugs which are predicted to have a profound impact clinically and commercially. The associated publication is poured over by industry leaders and investors alike for its accuracy and insight.
Studio Texture has been working on the annual campaign and publication since 2017, the year we founded the company. Each year we're presented with a new challenge and focus. As Drugs to Watch has grown in its influence, so too has the expectation for us to deliver creative work that truly stands out in the space it rolls in.
In recent years we have reflected the focus of the key drugs profiled in the publication. We’ve used silhouettes of human forms, cropped to the area of the body the drug targets. We have then applied dramatic and artful visual expressions to these forms. Collectively the visuals feel cohesive, but each have their own unique character, reflective of the drug they represent.
Messaging within the campaign supports the key advances forecast to hit the mainstream in the coming year, but done so in a way that is supportive of the visual expression.
The campaign runs across paid social and Clarivate’s own channels and each year has out performed the last. Since its inception, Drugs to Watch has grown to become a benchmark programme for Clarivate.
